If your McLane Sampler or Profiler is 8 years old or more, now is a good time to check your connectors and cables. Due to changes in the connector industry, McLane can no longer supply replacements for ANY Teledyne Impulse cables and connectors on our Samplers and Profilers.
Teledyne Impulse connectors were commonly used on our instruments 8 years ago or older. Instruments made around 2012 or later have the current MCBH style. If your connector looks like the image in this article, and your cable has a “thumb bump”, you have Teledyne Impulse connectors and cables.
These connectors include XSG, XSK, VSK, RMG, AG306, and IE55 bulkhead connectors and mating cables. Replacements of these connectors and their mating cables are available using the MacArtney Subconn MCBH style (or others).
Contact us with a serial number for help determining what style connectors are on your instrument, and for upgrade pricing.
Note: If your cables and connectors are in good working condition, there is no urgent need to replace them. However, plan ahead for this future expense.
