Dr. Mindy Richlen and her team from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) visited McLane in March to prepare their Phytoplankton Sampler (PPS) for deployment. The one day training at our McLane facility consisted of programming a deployment, general operations and maintenance procedures.
If you own a McLane sampler or profiler, consider adding product training at our East Falmouth, MA facility to your pre-deployment preparations. A brief training session can familiarize you with your instrument and help your sample collection operate smoothly.
The (PPS) is an autonomous particulate sampler that filters up to 24 individual water samples through 47mm filters. Samples are collected in user-defined time series to analyze trace metals, phytoplankton and suspended particles.
