The ITP uses several software tools. These tools are provided on the media included with a new instrument. Unpacker software is a windows-based program that unpacks profiler data. Deployment Planner is a Windows-based program used to create profiling schedules for patterned-profiling mode. McLaneTerm is a terminal emulator that replaces previously provided terminal emulation tools MotoCross (for CF2) and CrossCut (for TT8).
McLaneTerm system requirements: Windows® 7 or higher.
Note: Windows users may receive a software alert during McLaneTerm installation. Proceed as usual to bypass this alert and install the program.
Before installing a Deployment Planner software update, use Windows Uninstaller to remove the previous version.
Troubleshooting USB to RS-232 Adapter that connects the computer with your McLane instrument:
Depending on the OS, some Windows PCs do not recognize the USB to RS-232 adapter (included in your instrument’s toolkit) that connects the computer with your McLane instrument. If this occurs, download the file Windows Driver FTDI USB to RS232 .ZIP below. Review the Read Me and Technical Service Bulletin and then run the file CDM21228_Setup.exe before plugging in the USB to RS-232 converter on your computer. When complete, a new COM port will be available.
