Gen3 Electronics & McLanePro:
As of July, 2023, Sediment Traps, WTS-LV pumps, PPS and RAS samplers are delivered with new McLane Gen3 electronics.
- Gen3 electronics use a McLane-built Graphical User Interface (GUI), called McLanePro. McLanePro replaces the serial terminal interface (McLaneTerm) to communicate with the instrument, program a deployment, offload data and other functions.
- Existing systems (CF2 or TT8) still require McLaneTerm. These systems cannot use McLanePro.
- Read more about Gen3 electronics.
McLaneTerm:
- Windows® 7 or higher required.
- Users may receive a software alert during McLaneTerm installation. Proceed as usual to bypass this alert and install the program.
Troubleshooting USB to RS-232 Adapter that connects the computer with your McLane instrument:
- If the Windows PC does not recognize the USB to RS-232 adapter, download the file Windows Driver FTDI USB to RS232 .ZIP.
- Review the Read Me and Technical Service Bulletin included with the ZIP file.
- Run the file CDM21228_Setup.exe before plugging in the USB to RS-232 converter on your computer, and a new COM port should appear.
